The City of Hialeah's Young Leaders with Character (YLC) programs are for teens in grades 6th -8th. These programs focus on academic and enrichment activities that support a well rounded child.
YLC- Blue Program- Funded in part by The Children's Trust
The YLC- Blue Program provides afterschool services Monday through Friday for teens in grades 6th through 8th grade at Jose Marti MAST Academy.
YLC- Orange 21st CCLC Program
The YLC- Orange Program provides afterschool and summer camp Monday through Friday for teens in grades 6th through 8th grade at the following partner schools: City of Hialeah Educational Academy, Hialeah Middle School and Henry H. Filer Middle School. Students MUST be attending these schools to qualify. This program is FREE due to funding from the Nita M. Lowey 21st CCLC grant.
