The City of Hialeah encourages residents to sign up to receive emergency messages as well as to the Weather Warning System, an automated severe weather alerting service.

Code Red website

The CodeRED system provides Hialeah officials the ability to quickly deliver messages to targeted areas or the entire city in case of an emergency.

CodeRED gives those who want to be included an easy and secure method for inputting information. The data collected will only be used for emergency notification purposes.

Registering for CodeRED

All businesses should register, as well as all individuals who have unlisted phone numbers, who have changed their phone number or address within the past year, and those who use a cellular or voice over Internet Protocol phone as their primary number. The system is compatible with TDD / TTY.

Registration can be completed online or with a hard copy enrollment form (PDF).

Required information includes a street address (physical address, no P.O. boxes) for location purposes and a primary phone number. Additional phone numbers, email and text addresses may also be entered.
