Charter School Oversight Committee
The City established a Charter School Oversight Committee with the intent and purpose to provide supervision of the operation of City-sponsored charter schools through charters granted by the School Board of Miami-Dade County.

Commission on Status of Women
The Commission on Status of Women reports, recommends and advises the City Council on significant and pertinent matters relating to or affecting the status of women within the City.

Cultural Affairs Board
The Cultural Affairs Board advises the City Council on significant and pertinent matters relating to cultural activities and events that impact or originate within the City. The Board promotes and encourages public participation in cultural and fine arts activities, events and exhibitions.

Faith Committee
The Mayor’s Community and Religious-Sponsored Charities Advisory Committee (Faith Committee) was established in order to help the City of Hialeah coordinate efforts to utilize and expand opportunities for community and religious-sponsored charities to address social needs in Hialeah.

Historic Preservation Board
The Historic Preservation Board is vested with the power, authority and jurisdiction to designate, regulate and administer historical, cultural, archaeological and architectural resources in the City under the direct jurisdiction and legislative control of the City Council.

Pension Reform Committee
The Pension Reform Committee studies and evaluates the present and future viability, sustainability and financial condition of the pension plan, and makes recommendations to the Mayor and City Council accordingly.

Personnel Board
The Personnel Board advises City of Hialeah administration on personnel issues, implements civil service rules, and regulations, and performs other duties related to the personnel of the City of Hialeah.

Planning & Zoning Board
The Planning and Zoning Board makes decisions and recommendations to the City Council on zoning and land use matters. The Planning and Zoning Board constitutes the local planning agency under state law for the City.

Special Master Administrative Hearings Board
The Mayor with City Council approval appoints the Special Master, who is authorized by the State of Florida law to hear and decide cases brought against those persons who have been cited for violations of the applicable City Ordinance.

Veterans' Affairs Board
The Veterans' Affairs Board advises the City Council on matters relating to veterans and promotes public participation in activities honoring veterans.

The Youth Advisory Board advises the City Council on significant and pertinent matters relating to young people within the City.
