Construction & Maintenance
The Construction and Maintenance Department's mission is to deliver high-quality, efficient and cost-effective design, construction and maintenance services to the City’s departments and its residents.

Service to our city is provided by professional firefighters, who provide seamless integration between fire protection, emergency medical services, water rescue, hazardous materials response, fire and hazard risk reduction inspection and prevention services, public education, emergency preparedness, and community outreach.
Grants / Human Services
The Department of Grants and Human Services provides management of various federal, state, and local grants to provide a variety of services to Hialeah including city beautification, cultural enrichment, economic development, affordable housing development, homelessness prevention, infrastructure improvements, renovations, and much more.
The City of Hialeah’s Human Resources Department strives to design a formal system to manage talent recruitment and accomplish organizational goals, all while promoting our employees to flourish in their perspective field.
Hialeah Public Libraries has a strong community focus, a variety of innovative programming, a broad array of relevant materials in multiple formats and networked computers that provide Internet access in all six branch facilities. The library system serves over 225,000 residents of Hialeah.

The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) develops and administers the City’s annual budget in accordance with Florida Statutes and City Charter. In addition, the OMB provides advice and assistance to city departments, Mayor, City Council and the public.

The Streets Department has jurisdiction over 427 miles of public right-of-way owned by the City of Hialeah. The department is responsible for planning, designing, constructing, and maintaining the City's public right-of-ways.
