Swim Team
The City of Hialeah seeks to enhance its youth community by increasing the participation of extracurricular activities through our swim team, the storm. Our team is an all ages year round competitive swim team offering high quality professional coaching and technique instruction. The goal of our team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability. All of our coaches are members of USA swimming and Florida Gold Coast Swimming. to try out to our competitive swim team, participants must be able to swim at an American Red Cross level 3 or higher.
Objectives
Our objectives are to establish an enjoyable competitive atmosphere for the participants of the program to enjoy and to assist in establishing an appreciation for hard work among the participants of the program.
The program will expand and help further develop the skills and techniques required for swimming. This program will also benefit the participants by initiating a sense of responsibility, increasing physical fitness, self-esteem, and incorporating a good work ethic.
