CuentosCuentos y Dibujos/Storytime and Crafts, Weekly (Mondays), 6:30 pm (Conducted in Spanish)

Cuentos y Dibujos is a story time conducted in Spanish, aimed at developing the habit of reading stories from a very early age. Followed by crafts, music, riddles, and quiz activities.

Preschool Storytime, Weekly (Wednesdays), 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

The City of Hialeah Education and Community Services Department offers a Preschool Storytime at JFK Library. Preschool-age children will enjoy an exciting story hour, followed by a related craft.

FamilyNightFamily Night/Storytime and Crafts, Weekly (Tuesdays), 6:30 pm (Bilingual program)

This is a bilingual story time combined with craft activities aimed at developing our kids’ reading habits.

Teens are welcome to create, learn, and interact in the TeenSpace program. Bring your imagination to life exploring the latest technologies, games, books, movies, music, and much more. This is a bilingual program.

Join us for The Little Bookworms Gardening Hour. In the year since the edible organic garden’s opening, Hialeah children and families have had the opportunity to learn about the benefits of growing sustainable edible gardens in South Florida and the basics to starting their own gardens at home to grow organic vegetables, herbs, and fruits all year round. The garden and gardening programs offered by the library are possible through a grant from the Florida Blue Foundation as part of the Hialeah Healthy Families Initiative.
