Mayor Carlos Hernandez Holds Press Conference to Mark the Beginning of Summer Programs

What:  Mayor Carlos Hernandez and the City Council are proud to announce the schedule for various city programs for Summer 2017 during a press conference on Thursday, June 1st, at the, Wilde Community Center. Through programming by the City of Hialeah Department of Parks and Recreation, Libraries, The Department of Education and Community Services, residents of all ages have the opportunity to take part in educational, physical and engaging activities during the summer months. 
The 2017 Summer programming for the Department of Parks and Recreation includes recreational sports and activities, as well as cultural arts programs. The libraries programming includes reading clubs, healthy cooking classes, and science classes, to name a few. The Education and Community Services department will offer various summer camps. 
The City of Hialeah works hard to provide quality, affordable programs for working families in the community. Mayor Hernandez will speak about the importance of creating and maintaining good habits to staying healthy and active during the summer months.
