Day Program for Adults
8:00 am – 2:30 pm
Adults participate in basic education courses that focus on academics, daily living skills, adapted physical education and leisure education. These courses are designed for people with developmental disabilities, such as, Down Syndrome, Autism and Cerebral Palsy. Each participant has an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) customized to accommodate their needs. Through the support of Miami-Dade County Public Schools, students take classes in English, Math, Reading, as well as, classes in daily living skills, such as, shopping, cooking, safety and personal hygiene. Special Olympics training is also available.
Afternoon Program for Adults
2:30 pm – 6:00 pm
This program focuses on athletics and recreational activities for the participants. Activities include playing games, doing arts & crafts and social functions. Special Olympics training is also available.
Evening Program for Adults
6:30 pm – 9:00 pm
Adult participants take part in a wide variety of athletic activities such as tennis, bowling, basketball, aquatics and other sports. Participants may also indulge in arts & crafts and social activities, such as, dances and field trips. Special Olympics training is also available.
