The Hialeah Police Personnel Selection Unit is the first exposure of the Police department to all prospective Police Department Applicants. The goal of this unit is to recruit and hire only the very best applicants for any given position in the Hialeah Police Department.

The unit will schedule all the required exams, conduct a criminal history, driver’s license history, credit history and a thorough background investigation. Once the applicant passes the entire background process, he/she must pass an Oral Interview Panel and a Medical/Drug screening Test. Upon completion of the entire hiring process, he/she is ready to begin a long and fruitful career with the Hialeah Police Department.
