Police Department :: About the Department :: Support Services :: Records Section

The Hialeah Police Department Records Section is located on the first floor of the Police Department. We are open Monday through Friday, 7AM to 4PM. We are closed on Holidays. Copies of all police reports and documents open to public access are available from the Records Section.

There is a charge of 15 cents per page for offense and incident reports and 20 cents per page for accidents. Background or clearance checks are $5.00. If you are requesting the report by mail, you must include your name, date the report was written, case number, type of report and location of occurrence. A self-addressed stamped envelope with 40 cents to cover the cost of the report must also be included. (No personal checks will be accepted.)

Copy of reports are accessible to the public after they have been processed.  Please allow 3 to 5 working days before obtaining accident reports. All other reports require a wait of 5 to 10 working days. You may call ahead of time to verify if the report is ready at (305) 687-2500.
