This unit is committed to doing away with gang related activity and the crimes associated with them. The Gang unit monitors and gathers information on the gangs which operate or frequent our jurisdiction.

Facts: Gang members range in age from thirteen to twenty-one years old. Gang members are usually comprised of 90 percent male 10 percent female. All parents should monitor their children and be vigilant to signs that may indicate their involvement in gangs. Some signs of gang involvement are; Disinterested in school, poor grades, withdrawal from family activities, changes in appearance (special hair cuts, tattoos, or eyebrow markings), and the use of graffiti on personal items.
