Fact About The Department

The Purchasing Division of the City of Hialeah provides City departments with the most economical price of goods and services without sacrificing its quality. Through formal and informal bidding processes, which follow City Code, State Statutes, The National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (N.I.G.P) Code of Ethics and federal law the Purchasing Division offers equal opportunities to all registered vendors.Other responsibilities assigned to the Purchasing Division include establishing, maintaining, and accounting for all fixed assets, and capital outlays, purchased, disbursed or disposed of by the City. As well as keeping an inventory of City property.The City of Hialeah Purchasing Division also is responsible for the annual auction, which disposes of surplus, functional properties. To register on the mailing list for our public auctions please contact the division at (305) 883-5865.The Purchasing Division also furnishes potential businesses with the appropriate applications necessary in order to become eligible vendors with the City.
