The fire prevention codes are enforced by the Fire Marshal, a Fire Lieutenant and five state certified Fire Inspectors. Our duties include performing in excess of 10,000 inspections annually, fire investigations to determine the cause and origin of fires, investigation of citizen complaints, public education presentations to various schools and elderly groups within Hialeah, and participating in fire safety presentations to multiple schools located within the widespread Dade County school system. Our efforts have a proven effect on the prevention of fires and the loss of life and revenue from fires.
