Early Prevention and Intervention
Youth & Internship Program
The City of Hialeah’s Early Prevention and Intervention Program was created in October 1992 to help at-risk
youth make informative decisions that will lead them in the
right path. The goal of our program is to intervene early in the lives of these
youth and strengthen them with knowledge and skills necessary to be productive citizens and offers them positive alternatives to combat negative behavior. The program is open to all at-risk
youth between the ages of 12-17 living in Dade and Broward counties. Join today
and get a jump start on your required High School community service hours.
In 2008, EPI expanded by
adding an internship component to the program. The EPI Internship Program provides
an opportunity for college students to engage in valuable work experience which
will help them build better communicational, organizational, managerial, and productivity
skills for a better workforce of tomorrow.
