HIALEAH LEARNS COMPUTER
John F. Kennedy Public Library offers free computer workshops. Participants must have a valid City of Hialeah library card. Check at the Reference Desk for a current monthly calendar.
Classes are limited to thirteen (13) participants. Registration begins thirty minutes before each workshop. Sign – in sheet will be placed in the Computer Lab.
The following are the groups of workshops offered in our library:
1. Introduction to E-mail : Workshop in which participants create their email account, learn the benefits of using e-mail: composing, sending, reading, forwarding, and deleting messages.
2. Microsoft Word Level I (Requires Basic mouse skills): This group of workshops will provide students with basic computer skills while creating a new Word document.
3. Introduction to Microsoft Word Level II (Requires prior knowledge of Windows and Mouse): This is a group of workshops that will help students to create, edit, and save a new Word document.
We encourage all students to bring a formatted 3 ½” floppy disk to class.
4. Excel Basic (Requires basic computer skills): This group of workshops will help students to create, edit, and save spreadsheets, colorful graphics and charts.
