Carlos Hernandez was born on March 8, 1961 in Camaguey, Cuba. He grew up in Hialeah playing in our city parks and studying in our public schools.

He graduated from Saint Thomas University with a Bachelor Degree in Organizational Leadership.

Carlos served for over twenty-two years in the Hialeah Police Department, were he retired as the Commander of the Sector 4 Sub-station.

Carlos lives with his wife Nancy, and their children, Kayla and Hunter.

Carlos was elected to the City Council in November 2005.
