Offices

One (1) seat for Mayor
Three (3) seats for City Councilmember (Groups V, VI and VII)

Qualification Period

Opens – 12:00 Noon, August 21, 2009
Closes – 5:00 p.m., September 11, 2009

On November 3, 2009 the City of Hialeah will conduct a Primary Election to elect a Mayor and three Councilmembers, seats V, VI and VII.  A General Election will be held on November 17, 2009, if necessary. 

Candidates for Mayor or for any particular Councilmember seat (V, VI or VII) must be electors of the City for 1 year prior to the primary election.  No person may be a candidate for more than one City office at any one election. Elections for the offices of Mayor and Councilmember will be conducted on a Citywide and nonpartisan basis.
