Wilde Community Center is named after Victor Wilde, a councilman for the City of Hialeah from 1959 - 1984. Victor Wilde was also a Navy veteran, journalist, community activist and in 1952 he served as Commander of the Hialeah Post and the American Legion.
Wilde Community Center is home to a free lunch program for senior citizens provided by the Hialeah Housing Authority.
Wilde Community Center is the only recreational facility with a banquet hall capable of hosting events of 100+ people. Complete with tables, chairs and a stage, this is an ideal place to host a baby shower, birthday party, or small performance.
