Café Literario Book Club 

Alternating Saturdays at 2 p.m.

El Café Literario es un lugar de encuentro para los amantes de la literatura. Te invitamos a acompañarnos en un viaje esclarecedor por el mundo de la palabra escrita los sábados alternos de 2:00 pm a 3:30 pm en la Biblioteca John F. Kennedy. Este programa es conducido en español.

The Café Literario Book Club is a meeting place for literature lovers. We invite you to join us in an enlightening journey through the world of the written word, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at John F. Kennedy Library. This program is conducted in Spanish.

Tertulia Literaria

Select Saturdays at 2:00 p.m.

La Tertulia “El caimán ante el espejo” está dedicada a la literatura cubana. Presentaciones de libros, encuentros con autores destacados, proyección de audiovisuales y lecturas de obras clásicas, nos reunirán un sábado al mes para adentrarnos en un apasionante viaje por la cultura cubana, de 2:00 pm a 3:30 pm en la Biblioteca John F. Kennedy. Este programa es conducido en español.

This program is dedicated to Cuban literature. Conducted in Spanish, and featuring author and book presentations, documentary screenings, and readings of outstanding literary works, our meetings will lead us on an exciting journey through Cuban culture a Saturday every month, from 2:00 pm to 3:30 p.m. at John F. Kennedy Library. This program is conducted in Spanish.

Mobile Library


The Hialeah Public Libraries provides Calls and Mobile Library visits to Adult Centers James H. Goodlet Adult Center the second Monday of every month at 11:00 a.m., and Villa Alegria the third Wednesday of every month at 1:00 p.m.

Library staff provide programs with rotating monthly themes such as Literature (Book Club), Memory Café, and Technology and deliver requested materials such as books, magazines, movies, mobile hotspots, and Chromebooks to senior residents in the Hialeah community.

Computer Workshops / Talleres de Computación 


John F. Kennedy Library offers virtual computer workshops on Mondays and in person workshops on Wednesdays at 1 p.m.

Branch locations also offer computer workshops during the week. For dates and times please call your local branch to register or for more information.
