Residential customer solid waste collection occurs twice per week. Depending on your designated collection area, Mondays and Thursdays or Tuesdays and Fridays are the scheduled collection days for customers. Services are available from 6 am to 7 pm
Garbage should be deposited in the brown container issued by the city.
Customers are provided with a 96-gallon brown garbage container.
Place the container on the swale area where it's accessible for the truck with the wheels facing your property.
Place your container at least 5 feet away from automobiles, mailboxes, fences, fire hydrants, trees, light poles, and other impediments.
Maintain containers away from low-hanging trees and utility/electrical lines.
Please position the container out for collection the night before collection or before 6 am on the day of collection.
Residents should not combine domestic garbage with yard or bulky debris.
Waste containers cannot exceed 50 pounds in weight.
No packages or boxes may be placed on top of the lid.
Do not place any other containers or packages outside the container.
Container lids must be completely closed.
Place containers on a level surface.
Do not place flammable or radioactive chemicals, biohazard materials, vehicle batteries, or paint into the container.
For residential customers who are disabled, side door service is offered. Conditions for this service include a written notice from a doctor or other legal proof that the customer is physically unable to use the curbside service on a regular basis, and from the customer confirming that they are the only ones living there who are present.
